MASON CITY – The 2012 Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project will begin on Monday, June 18, 2012.
Phase I of the project will begin on 5th Street NE (the westbound lanes of Highway 122) between South Federal Avenue and South President Avenue. This portion of the roadway will be reduced to one-lane traffic during this phase of the project.
The duration of the one-lane traffic is anticipated to be approximately 30 days.
Expect congestion and delays around this area while the street is under construction. Please watch for construction workers and equipment if you are traveling near the work zone. Avoid traveling in this area and plan an alternate route during this time.
