Winner announced from Humane Society of North Iowa’s Bark in the Park event

MASON CITY – The Humane Society of North Iowa recently held it’s annual Bark in the Park fundraiser at Lime Creek Nature Center in Mason City. The event included a bake sale, concession stand, guest speakers, and lots of other activities. Participants were encouraged to bring their dogs to the fundraiser to enjoy all the festivities.

The feature of the event is a walk-a-thon where registrants are encouraged to seek out sponsors to pledge monetary support for their participation. The person raising the most money won a $50 gift card donated by Clear Lake Bank and Trust.

This year’s winner of the $50.00 gift card was Joey Paulson of Forest City, who raised a total of $235 in pledge money.

All money raised during the Bark in the Park event goes to the animals at the Humane Society of North Iowa shelter. The Humane Society of North Iowa is appreciative of everyone’s support and participation during this fun event.
