Subject wanted for escape from BeJe Clark Residential Facility

An arrest warrant has been issued for William Thomas Hester Jr. for escape.

Hester had been sentenced to the BeJe Clark Residential Facility in Mason City in November 2011 for 180 days for a probation violation on a serious assault charge.

Friday night at 10:20 p.m., Hester left the residential facility and was last seen walking north.

Hester is a 28 year old white male, 6′ 2″ and 205 pounds.  He has brown eyes and brown hair.

I think the selection process for candidates; for the facility needs to be re-evaluated..Keep in mind the majority of the residents do not run.

Does anyone actually stay at BeJe Clark any more? It seems that everyday we read of another “subject” that takes off for higher ground. I too seem to remember hearing if anyone escaped they would finish their term in jail. If that in fact is the case, then the jail should be full by now of ex BeJe Clark crackheads.

I can remember when BeJe Clark was open and the public had concerns regarding just this type of thing and the powers to be who wanted this facility in Mason City told the public when someone escaped from this place they would be put in prison to serve the remainer of their term. Why isnt this happening? Maybe it was a good idea to try this type of facility but if history is any indication this place should be closed for the publics safety its just a matter of time before one of these losers escapes and injures or kills a innocent individual.
